Xbox One’s Mixer Livestreaming Service Goes Live

Claiming that the “core experience remains unchanged” while confirming several new features, Microsoft have confirmed that the “next evolution” of the Beam interactive live streaming platform on the Xbox One has gone live – with a name change.

Now known as “Mixer”, this update brings a number of new features including co-streaming support (a worthwhile addition for those streaming as a group), a beta for the Mixer Create mobile streaming app, a new moderated channel of content on Mixer called ‘Channel One’ and a new Mixer page on the Xbox One dashboard”.

Microsoft have also used this opportunity to announced that Microsoft will be broadcasting their Xbox E3 2017 briefing in UHD, with a special edition Mixer 4K broadcast for those with a 4K display. Of course, the practicality of watching this stream would also depend on your internet speeds as well…
