Ubisoft has confirmed an exclusive crossover event with the Attack on Titan anime for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, going live from tomorrow, and running for four weeks until 22 December 2025. The event is delivered as part of an update available to all players, which also includes free additional story content.
In the event quest, a strange encounter pulls Naoe and Yasuke into an investigation of forbidden rituals and unsettling transformations. Guided by a woman named Ada, they delve into the Crystal Cave to rescue her friend from a mysterious cult. As experiments unfold and a monstrous foe emerges, the duo must rely on their distinct strengths to survive.
Players who have unlocked Yasuke can access the quest for free by heading to the northeast of Yamashiro to find the quest giver. Completion rewards include a new katana, with further items hidden in chests throughout the cave. Additional paid cosmetic options are planned in store, including Attack on Titan themed packs featuring a titan inspired outfit for Yasuke, a Mikasa inspired outfit for Naoe, weapon offerings, and a Survey Corps mount.
The update also introduces a free story drop titled A Puzzlement, the third such addition for the game. This short quest adds a lighter tone as Naoe and Yasuke teach each other new skills, with Naoe crafting her own dramatic take on Yasuke’s war kick and Yasuke learning non lethal stealth takedowns. The quest also features a new environmental puzzle that may shed light on lingering questions.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is now available to purchase on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC, Apple Macs with Apple Silicon and Amazon Luna – with a Nintendo Switch 2 version set to release on 2 December 2025.
