Five Star Games to Distribute Focus Home Interactive Games in Australia and New Zealand

-

One issue with being a gamer in Australia is that there is no guarantee every game made available in North America will be published Down Under. In some cases this might be due to games being refused classification or publishers not wanting to go through our classification process (After all, games such as Atelier Totori Plus have received an R18+ rating in the past). But for games which aren’t published directly by a regional branch of a company like Ubisoft or Sony Interactive Entertainment – there is occasionally some uncertainty about whether or not there is a regional distributor for a game.

While this isn’t as big an issue as it was once before (at least from my perspective), it is always nice to receive some certainty when companies confirm a distribution partnership. The latest is one made between international publisher Focus Home Interactive and regional publisher/distributor Five Star Games. This will see Five Star Games bring games such as Styx: Shards of Darkness and Farming Simulator 17 to store shelves in Australia and New Zealand.

Tom Dekker | General Manager at Five Star Games

We are very excited to partner with a publisher of Focus Home Interactive’s reputation for and quality games and their upcoming titles fit perfectly with the core strengths of our team and the company’s plans. We look forward to a long term working partnership with the team at Focus Home Interactive.

John Bert | Business Director at Focus Home Entertainment

We’re really looking forward to working with Five Star Games. It’s a great opportunity to be partnering with such an experienced high profile team whom will help us push our fantastic upcoming line up further in such  key territories as Australia & New Zealand.
