Koei Tecmo have shared new information about Samurai Warriors 4-II, their upcoming tactical action title which is set for release on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and PC platforms starting October 2nd 2015.
Samurai Warriors 4-II is not going to be your traditional Koei Warriors game where larger groups of character explore various regions of its specific locale. Instead, this game will have a spotlight put on just thirteen characters (Nine characters introduced in Samurai Warriors 4, three ‘fan-favourites’ from earlier games and a brand new addition to the Samurai Warriors roster) across thirteen chapters. Four of the returning characters have been confirmed as:
- Nobuyuki Sanada: The elder of the two brothers in line for leadership of the Sanada clan and a very level headed and competent warrior
- Hisahide Matsunaga: A feudal lord under the rule of Nobunaga
- Koshōshō: An adventurous and ambitious paramour
- Mitsunari Ishida: A shrew financial manager
This is in addition to announcing that the new addition is Naomasa Ii. Naomasa is a general of the Tokugawa army, known both for his bravery and for donning a bright red armour when taking to the battlefield. Naomasa has been part of the Samurai Warriors Universe since the first instalment of the series; however this is the first time he will appear as a playable character.
