Siren Visual Announce Box Set of ‘A+ Anime’ Monster, Gives Option to Buy Slipcase Box Standalone

Even as the individual volumes were being released by Siren Visual, there were questions arising about a possible box set for their anime release of Monster. While things have been a tad quiet from the company these past couple of months, Siren Visual have recently confirmed that fan demands are being met with a box set release – which is planned to begin shipping out to fans (hopefully) in late August 2015.

The artwork for this box is currently unconfirmed, with Siren Visual claiming that “Urasawa himself is currently umming and uhing over it” as they wrote the announcement. But as they are seemingly so confident in the demand for the box itself from those who purchased individual volumes, that it will be possible to buy the box only without the DVD’s. Therefore if you are like myself and already possess all five volumes of Monster, you can purchase the box standalone for only $15 AUD. “The double-walled slipcase will be shipped flat and is easily assembled.”.

Those looking to purchase the entire series as part of the box set will be able to do so for $120.00 on DVD. Distribution will be limited however, and this set can only be purchased through the official Siren Visual website or directly from them at conventions at the current time.

Monster is currently the highest reviewed anime on this website, having received a rare A+ grade in my June 2014 review of the complete series.
