The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask char1Taking place almost simultaneously with the North American and European launch of the New Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Australia have highlighted that 3DS owners in their supported regions have plenty to look forward to this coming weekend.

Most notably will be the video game release of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D (A port of the original Nintendo 64 classic) and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, both of which will land on store shelves starting Saturday. The launch of both of these games will be joined by their own respective limited edition New Nintendo 3DS XL models. At this time, these LE’s will be the only way of obtaining a customized skin for a New Nintendo 3DS XL model, with other customisable covers only available for the non-XL model.

In addition to these two major game launches, several other titles will also be available on the Nintendo eShop. This includes the release of:

  • IronFall: Invasion: A three-year project by independent developers VD-DEV, IronFall: Invasion brings fast-paced single-player and six-person local & online multiplayer shooting action, with the gameplay suited for using the C Stick of New Nintendo 3DS.
  • Kirby Fighters Deluxe: This is a 4-player battle action game based on Kirby: Triple Deluxe, containing expanded gameplay, new arenas and team-play.
  • Dedede’s Drum Dash Deluxe: A standalone rhythm action game which will see players bounce to the beat of Kirby tunes as King Dedede.

In terms of new services, Nintendo will be launching a new video-on-demand “Anime Channel”, providing access to steams for series like Pokemon and Kirby. New content is being added regularly, and can be downloaded through the Nintendo eShop at no charge. A number of new themes will also be available for the Nintendo 3DS Home Menu. These include themes for Majora’s Mask 3D, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy+ – which will be available at no charge who purchase their respective games through the Nintendo eShop.
