With the Christmas break almost upon us, Nippon Ichi Software America have today shared what could very well be their last piece of promotional material for Criminal Girls: Invite Only in 2014. To end the year, they have shared a look at what could be considered the two most important elements of Criminal Girls – the “motivation”/punishment system and its battle system.
Both the above trailer and below screenshots demonstrate how the game’s more unique battle system works. While not on the same scale as Persona 3 where you had no control over your party members skill usage, in Criminal Girls: Invite Only you are unable to issue direct commands to each of the girls during a battle. Instead, you must pick a move from the list of skills that each party member presents to you, which they will then use against the enemy. Even then, sometimes they will not listen to you; requiring you to motivate them to behave and improve, learn new skills and unlock powerful combat attacks. This is where the “motivation” system comes into play.
Criminal Girls: Invite Only will be available via retailers and the PlayStation Store from February 3rd 2015 in North America and February 6th 2015 in PAL regions. This will be a PlayStation Vita exclusive, and features a number of perks over the original Japanese exclusive PlayStation Portable edition.
