Tango Gameworks and Bethesda Softworks have recently announced that The Evil Within has gone “gold” prior to its October 14th 2014 release on last and current generation consoles. To mark this occasion, the companies have taken it upon themselves to prepare the public for their impending in-game struggle for survival with an upcoming video series.

As the first installment, “Every Last Bullet” seeks to give players a 101 lesson in survival – including how to take advantage of resources, effectively managing ammo and simply knowing when it is time to turn tail and leave.

While investigating the scene of a gruesome mass murder, Detective Sebastian Castellanos and his partners encounter a mysterious and powerful force. After seeing the slaughter of fellow officers, Sebastian is ambushed and knocked unconscious. When he awakens, he finds himself in a deranged world where hideous creatures wander among the dead. Facing unimaginable terror, and fighting for survival, Sebastian embarks on a frightening journey to unravel what’s behind this evil force.

Are you attending the EB Games Expo this weekend? Don’t forget that Zenimax Australia will be sharing a teaser of their The Evil Within inspired ‘Fright Night’ maze during the event. The full maze will be available during all Warner Bros. Movie World Fight Night events on the Gold Coast next month. The game itself will also be playable across all three days.

The Evil Within will be available on the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox360 and Xbox One from mid-October 2014.
