While regular readers of The Otaku’s Study or other Japanese video-game oriented websites may know it as Disgaea 4 Return, Nippon Ichi Software America today announced during a press event that they intend on publishing Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited on the PlayStation Vita. As with most of their titles this will be available in both North America and PAL regions, at an unspecified date during Summer 2014.

Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited is an enhanced port of the original 2011 PlayStation 3 title Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten, which walked away with my Game of the Year award for that year. This release will feature all the original content from the PS3 release in addition to all former DLC content, brand new scenarios exclusive to this release, new characters / cameo appearances, a new tier of spells, new music and sprites that have been produced to look even better on the PS Vita’s OLED screen.
