Atelier Totori – English Trailer and Release Date

-

For those that are interested in Atelier Totori, the second part out of three in the PS3 Atelier Series, Nippon Ichi Software America over the last few days has released a considerable amount of information regarding this game and its release date. The first thing is the above trailer, which helps set the basic storyline for the series, the theme song for the series (More enjoyable then Atelier Rorona) and introducing the characters alongside their respective voices. Alongside this, they have now released the official website – an English version of the Japanese Totori website which can be found HERE. Now for the big news: As of now we have only been provided with a release date of Fall 2011, but they have now revised this date to the 27th of September 2011. This means that it will be released around the same time (Give or take a week) as Disgaea 4.

In my review for Atelier Rorona that I wrote earlier this year, I praised the Design and Music of the game which were well suited to their target demographic, however was left disappointed with the storyline as it was a game more about item collecting over telling a story. This game seems to have a similar, but different design to Rorona which I will be reserved about until I play the game, but it seems to be more driven by a storyline then “Make X amount of Y in 3 Months or we are closing your workshop”. Either way, I hopefully will be able to bring you a review of this title before or at the release time of this game.

Whilst this game has been officially announced for both US and European (According to the Games listing on the NISA website) distribution, currently there is no word on if or when there will be an Australian Release for the game. If there is, it would most probably be through Namco Bandai Partners however no log has appeared on the Australian Classifications website yet, but if something appears, I will be sure to let all my Aussie readers know.
