In 2019, Tim Minchin hosted his first Australian tour since returning to Australia from Los Angeles. Titled Tim Minchin Back: Old Songs, New Songs, F*** You Songs; it featured many songs from his incredible repertoire of classic and newer works, in addition to a few from his musical theatre works Matilda the Musical and Groundhog Day the Musical. Following this tour, an encore was confirmed for 2020, with a second tour due to take place across Australia from late this month, taking him to Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Unfortunately, as with many other events and festivals in results to recommendations around the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak; Mr Minchin has confirmed that his upcoming shows will be postponed.
We are hustling to reschedule. The ticket agency will be emailing on Monday to confirm the postponement, & though I don’t know if we’ll have new dates by then, pls know we are trying our hardest! Lots of love. Don’t panic, wash ya hands, & don’t take ya sniffle to your Gran’s.
