New Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Australia Tickets Go On Sale Today

Book up to Sunday 12 July 2020

-

As someone who had their love of literature fostered by the works of J.K. Rowling during their childhood, the fact that Harry Potter and the Cursed Child would receive an Australian theatrical production excited me for months after it was announced. I remember sitting at my desk for several hours, 20,000th in a queue, waiting for the chance to buy tickets when the first wave of sales commenced last year. Having now experience both parts, I can say it is a production worth seeing (review coming in the future).

If you have been waiting for the opportunity to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for either the first time or a subsequent time, Australian producer Michael Cassel Group have today confirmed that new tickets have gone on sale – taking sales up to Sunday 12 July 2020. This will take ticket sales up to the end of the Victorian 2020 Winter School Holidays (Which run from 27 June – 12 July). Tickets for all currently available dates can be purchased via the dedicated Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Ticketmaster Website.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is split over two parts, each of which have an individual price from $65.00 AUD to $155.00AUD standalone, or two part packages (including VIP packages) ranging from $130.00 AUD to $540.00 AUD. It is highly recommended (and I would second this) that you book a two-part package, which are typically spread over either a single day (Matinee Part 1 and Evening Part 2) or over two days (Evening Part 1 and Evening Part 2). As with any theatrical production with different price reserves, a higher price may indicate a closer / more central view of the stage.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series, which has been created by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. It takes place after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with a particular focus on Albus Severus Potter, the son of Harry Potter and Ginny Potter (nee Weasley).

This play is being performed at the Princess Theatre in Melbourne. While there is often the expectation that major productions like this will tour the country after awhile, the producers have already confirmed that this is a Melbourne-exclusive and will not travel to any other Australian city.
