My Eternal Bond Partner is the Office Worker of Light!?!

Take That (In-Game) Snap Daily Photo

So I have this ongoing narrative within my Final Fantasy XIV Free Company, that I am a Lalafell whose goal is to convert everyone into Lalafell permanently. Although I mean that jokingly, when my eternal bond partner decides to no longer be a Lalafell and instead become the ‘Office Worker of Light’… well it may come down to them drinking a Fantasia OR some creative alterations with this Ninja’s daggers.

For the last couple of weeks, I have been crafting stories or providing explanatory notes with almost every instalment in the Take That (In-Game) Snap Daily Photo series. While I do so as a creative outlet, taking photos in video games is not always about telling a story or even being creative for that matter. Instead, it should be first and foremost a means of capturing a memorable in-game moment – whether defeating a complex raid, beating a challenge you have been working so hard on, or just capturing a moment worthy to remain memorable in your mind for months and years to come.

Therefore for the next week or so, I would like to move away from what I have been doing, and just post pictures from different games I took on the spur of the moment. Some may be of varying quality, but nevertheless were part of just taking random photos for fun.

Take That (In-Game) Snap Daily Photo is an off-shoot of the Take That (In-Game) Snap article series, in which the first article focusing on Final Fantasy XIV was recently published. This looks at, celebrates and critiques how video game developers have implemented professional photography-like systems into their games. It will cover how the systems handle, just how accessible they are and, where applicable, how a modding community might be making these tools even better. With this Daily Photo spin-off series, I will be sharing individual photos from the games either covered or soon-to-be-covered in the series.
