After a scorching hot summer which here in Australia resulted in a significant bushfire threat and more than a few days my seeking solace locked away in an air-conditioned room, have got to say I am glad that autumn is now upon us. But as we bid farewell to the season for another nine months, I would like to use the next couple of days to showcase a summery photo shoot I did in Final Fantasy XIV.
Taking a break from their expeditions across Eorzea, my characters took a trip to the pristine beaches of Costa del Sol to catch some rays, splash about in the ocean and take the odd photo or two. It was nice using races other than Lalafells as models for this photoshoot, especially given the selection of swimwear and other beach attire which have been offered over the game’s lifetime.
Take That (In-Game) Snap Daily Photo is an off-shoot of the Take That (In-Game) Snap article series, in which the first article focusing on Final Fantasy XIV was recently published. This looks at, celebrates and critiques how video game developers have implemented professional photography-like systems into their games. It will cover how the systems handle, just how accessible they are and, where applicable, how a modding community might be making these tools even better. With this Daily Photo spin-off series, I will be sharing individual photos from the games either covered or soon-to-be-covered in the series.
