As has been pretty clear these past weeks, I haven’t had much time to dedicate towards writing for The Otaku’s Study. This has been due to some real life issues I have been facing, which has required a lot of my time and attention.

As I work towards a more consistent stream of reviews and other content over the coming weeks, I would like to outline some of the titles I have recently prepared for review. Although not all are guaranteed to be reviewed by the week’s close, it is my intention to begin having reviews posted up from this evening.

Satoru Fujinuma is a struggling manga artist who works at a pizza parlor. Ever since he was a kid, he has been holding himself responsible for a kidnapping incident. Finally, the time has come for the truth from his past to be revealed…

Himouto! Umaru-chan

Umaru has two faces: her “outside face” is a reserved beauty, renown throughout the school and community for her flawless manners, talent, and intelligence. Her dreaded “inside face,” the face her responsible older brother Taihei deals with daily, is a lazy, game -playing, snack-binging brat. As Umaru hides her ability to methodically pair junk food with cola, Taihei attempts to devise ways to reign in her epic laziness by any means necessary.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is the next major instalment in the Danganronpa series – although features a completely new cast of Ultimate Students and is set to be a “brand-new beginning” from earlier works. Under the watchful eye of their bear-like Headmaster Monokuma, the students must survive in their mysterious high school, or alternatively, pull off a successful murder without being caught in order to successfully escape.
