To be published under the company’s Shonen Jump imprint, VIZ Media have confirmed they will begin publishing a new manga series by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata – a creative duo whose previous work includes Death Note and Bakuman. Known as Platinum End, this has been described as a “paranormal dark fantasy about humans and angels”.
Volume 1 of Platinum End will be available in North America from October 4th 2016, priced with an MSRP of $9.99 USD. While physical copies will be offered, it will also be possible to nab this volume digitally from VIZ Media’s website, the VIZ Manga App and through a range of digital eBook stores including Nook, Kobo, Kindle, iBooks, comiXology and Google Play. This will not be a one volume release, with future volumes planned for release twice annually.
