While from COVID-19 quarantine we don’t really have the chance to explore it, HOTA: Home of the Arts have partnered with Adventure Entertainment to give the public an opportunity to appreciate nature by online streaming two documentaries – Warren Miller’s Timeless and One Ocean Film Tour hosted by Sea Shepherd.
Timeless will be screened online at 7.30pm on 16 May 2020. It is described as a “beautiful ski and snowboard documentary that explores the enduring spirit of the winter season”. From the American filmmaker Warren Miller, viewers be taken on a tour of some of the world’s top mountain locations in the company of Olympic mogul skier Jaelin Kauf and Canadian World Cup ski racer Erin Mielzynski, alongside industry veterans Glen Plake, Rob DesLauries, and Marcus Caston. This screening will serve as the film’s Australian premiere.
Fast forward a few weeks and One Ocean Film Tour will be streamed to your television screen on 8 June 2020 at 7.00pm, screened to mark World Ocean’s Day. Hosted by Sea Shepherd, you’ll be taken on a spectacular visual journey through a series awe-inspiring films made by ocean-lovers, for ocean lovers. With a vision to protect our oceans these films celebrate the people who have dedicated their lives to the ocean and all her glory.
Unlike many free offerings available through HOTA, each screening will be paid, priced at $20.00 AUD per film. More information on each screening and how to buy tickets can be found HERE.
