Crunchyroll Returns to New York Comic Con with Panels, Previews, and More

Crunchyroll is set to return to this year’s New York Comic Con (NYCC), offering fans a range of panels, exclusive previews, and merchandise. This year’s event will spotlight new anime titles, feature industry legends, and give attendees a sneak peek at upcoming releases.

One major highlight will be an exclusive preview of Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom, an upcoming theatrical film continuing the Overlord series. Director Naoyuki Ito and MADHOUSE Studio Producer Kentaro Hashimoto will be present to provide behind-the-scenes insights before the film’s release in U.S. theatres on 8 November. Before then however, a new trailer has been released for the film, which can be found below:

Fans of Fairy Tail will also have a chance to meet the series’ creator, Hiro Mashima. Mashima will take the NYCC Main Stage to discuss his current project, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, and reflect on his long-running career.

Additionally, NYCC attendees will be the first to see the world premiere trailer for Zenshu, a new original anime series from MAPPA, the studio behind Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man. This will debut at the Crunchyroll Industry Panel, where further announcements and reveals will take place.

In collaboration with Tapas and Yen Press, Crunchyroll will also host a webtoon panel featuring TurtleMe, the author of The Beginning After the End, who will offer insights into the series and a special surprise for fans.

Beyond panels, Crunchyroll’s booth on the show floor will provide attendees with exclusive merchandise, including limited-edition FiGPiNs from One Piece and Mobile Suit Gundam, as well as an immersive Solo Leveling experience.
