Box Set to Finally Be Offered for Puella Magi Madoka Magica TV Series

Previously if you have wanted to purchase a physical copy of the 12-episode Puella Magi Madoka Magica TV anime, your only option has been to purchase three volumes containing four episodes each. Despite the first volume going on sale in early-2012, Aniplex of America has only offered the series as part of a three-volume set, despite a trend by other anime publishers to offer 12-episode series as part of a Complete Collection. This is until now.

Aniplex of America have confirmed they will be offering a complete Blu-ray Box Set of Puella Magi Madoka Magica. This set will include all twelve episodes of the TV anime across three discs, in addition to “various bonus contents and materials”. On-disc bonus content includes a trailer collection, textless opening/ending sequences and a music video for ending theme song “Magia” by Falafina. It will also come with a couple of other bonuses, including packaging artwork illustrated by Takahiro Kishida, a 4-page insert and clear cases with 2-sided wraps.

It is however a bit pricey for a series that has been out on the market for a while. This set has a suggested retail price of $149.98 USD, although is currently available via the official English Madoka Magica website for $119.98.

Pre-orders for this box set have now begun, with a release currently scheduled for August 23rd 2016.
