As I have mentioned a couple of times this past month, today marks the 10th Anniversary of The Otaku’s Study. It has been a long and interesting ride these past ten years, and I would like to thank everyone who has joined me on this journey – whether this is the first post of mine you have read or if you have been following me for weeks, months or years.
The Otaku’s Study motto is “Studying the Labyrinth of Fandom”, and it has been a pleasure being able to explore and study the sheer variety of video games, anime, manga and visual novels out there over the last decade. In recent years it has also been great diversifying and delving into the stories presented onstage, and the creative processes detailed in design compendiums / artbooks.
I may have never expected to get this far when I opened up this site on a whim as Sam’s Anime Study on Monday May 22nd 2006, but I am sure the journey of The Otaku’s Study is far from over. I hope you will continue to join me on my quest through the ever-expanding labyrinth known as “Entertainment”.
With a complete site redesign now behind me, expect to see even more on The Otaku’s Study in the coming weeks and months.
