Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment has confirmed that they have picked up the rights to the third Puella Magi Madoka Magica film “Rebellion”, and aside from a home video release also have plans for a theatrical screening.
During Supanova Brisbane 2013 they confirmed that screenings will be held in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Canberra, Adelaide and Brisbane on the 1st and 2nd February 2014 while in New Zealand the film will be screened only in Auckland and only on the 1st February 2014. It is assumed that the cinemas in each of these cities will be the same ones that hosted Reel Anime 2012 / 2013.
Tickets are set to go on sale during Early 2014, and will hopefully not have any hiccups like what was reported during the cinema screenings of 1 / 2.
