As you may have expected, Sentai Filmworks never seems to sleep in their quest to license seemingly every anime title that they can – and over the last week or two they have announced several (Which due to my hectic schedule seem to have adverted my notice) titles which depending on your genre preferences may be of interest to you. These titles are as follows:
Mahoromatic: I’m Home!
As Mahoro’s life timer rapidly approaches her two hundred and fiftieth day, a more joyous chronological observance occurs to distract her: the 120th anniversary of the founding of the town of Hiryushi. And as part of the celebration, Suguru, Miyuki, Hamaji and several other friends have come up with the perfect tribute: a Maid Café! Unfortunately, their Maid Café may end up completely Maid-Less, as Mahoro and Minawa are attacked by Management forces under the command of Feldrance! Prepare to return to the world of the hit series once more in this very special side story– MAHOROMATIC – I’M HOME!
Will soon be available through multiple digital outlets, with a home video release on DVD slated for this Summer. English dub will be provided by Bang Zoom Entertainment.
Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle 2
The puzzles get tougher and even more deadly as Kaito Daimon continues his battle against the power hungry Givers of the POG. And with one team member already switching sides, will Kaito have what it takes to keep solving the deadly puzzle traps put before him and reach the fabled Puzzle of God? More importantly, will he be able to solve the puzzles AND maintain his sanity? The fate of the entire world might just depend on it in PHI-BRAIN ~ KAMI NO PUZZLE SEASON 2!
The second season will be available digitally soon through Anime Network Online, with distribution through other online outlets to follow later on. A home video release has been slated for later on this year, but there is no word on if it will be DVD or DVD and Blu-ray… along with if it will be a hybrid anime release or just the original Japanese dub.
Hatsukoi Limited
Romance is a funny thing: you hear about it, read about and dream about it, but it always seems to elude you. Until it actually happens, in a way you never imagined it, and knocks you off your feet! At least, that’s how it feels to young Ayumi and her friends, as one by one, they discover that love is infectious and you can catch it from anyone! Now Ayumi’s torn between two brothers; Koyoi has an altogether different kind of brother issue; and budding theatrical impresario Sumire seems ready to do anything to land her leading man. Then there’s tom-boy Rika, aspiring artist Nao, Kei, who’s very ‘mature’ for her age and older girl Misaki who really is more mature. Oh, and the guys? They’re just as clueless and entangled in the complex web of relationships that’s called growing up! That most infections of all ailments, the ‘love bug,’ is about to bowl over the student body of an entire school in HATUSUKOI LIMITED!
The series will be available through digital media outlets soon, with the intention of a home video DVD release scheduled for later this year. It will be released in subtitles only.
