For Those Who Had Trouble Opening The Latest Siren Visual Newsletter 1

I am not sure how widespread the issue was, but according to the Siren Visual Facebook Page there were a few people who seemed to be having some issues opening the latest newsletter. So, as it is the weekend and I am sure they are busy at the Melbourne Supanova this weekend, I have posted it below for your enjoyment.

Subject> NEW RELEASES FROM SIREN VISUALLLLLL!

So we’ve come at last to the end of this year’s convention circuit and what a busy couple of weeks has it been! With Armageddon at both Melbourne and Auckland then Supanova in Brisbane all conveniently encased within the past three weeks, I must admit we’re all a bit exhausted. But, hey – the show must go on!

So what news do we have for you this month?

Well…

ANGEL BEATS BLU-RAY

Seen Angel Beats on DVD? Well, have you seen it in glorious Blu-Ray? That’s right – Angel Beats on Blu-Ray is here and will be hitting stores next week. With the DVD flying fast off the shelves after its record breaking pre-order we hope you all enjoy this version as much as the last. To commemorate this release we’ll be holding a little competition with the prize being an Angel Beats figurine which we hand-picked on a recent visit to Japan. So if that excites you keep an eye on our Facebook page for further details…

RED VS. BLUE SEASON 9 DVD

If you were at either Armageddon Melbourne or Auckland then you would have seen Brandon, Joel and Bernie from Rooster Teeth at our booth meeting/greeting/signing for the fans. Thanks to everyone who came along and made their visit a warm one. It was hands-down the busiest bunch of festivals we’ve EVER encountered, so expect more Rooster Teeth events in the New Year! The Red vs. Blue celebrations continues this month with the release of Red Vs. Blue Season 9: Project Freelancer…

Season 9 sees two individual plots at work with one following Church after the Season 8 finale whilst the other is set preceding The Blood Gulch Chronicles as it explores earlier events of Project Freelancer. This season is particularly special as it is being released concurrently with the US version and the release of Halo Combat Evolve. Gametraders customers cop a free Red Vs Blue poster and JB will yield you a bonus Grifball disc. Score!

THE GUILD SEASON 1&2, 3 & 4

You may have picked up an early copy at one of the recent festivals, but here it is for the general public: Season 3 of The Guild. Thanks to Jeff (Vork) and Sandeep (Zaboo) for making their way down to Australia and New Zealand and running amok with us over the last couple of weeks. Hilarious people who have increased their Region 4 fanbase tenfold in a very short time. We hope we see them again in the New Year.

Season 3 pre-orders are still available over here and The Guild Season 4 being released mid-December. Pre-ordering at our site here will get you a free Guild poster and a cool little promo photo both of which are exclusive to us here at Siren.Signed posters will also be up for grabs so just keep an eye out on our Facebook for more details on how you can grab one over the up-coming weeks. These have been scribbled on by Jeff and Sandeep just for you!

DENNOU COIL PART 2

The exciting conclusion of Dennou Coil is out next month with pre-ordering still available. Some lucky pre-order customers will get some nice surprises (no clues…it’s a surprise, right?). Part two features the last 13 episodes of this stunning series as well as a third disc collecting all the bonus features found on the Japanese releases. Cast /crew Q&A, interviews with the voice-actors, TV promos and more.

CASSHERN SINS – THE COMPLETE BOX SET

I’m pleased to announce that just last month Casshern Sins has come together in a complete DVD box set for your viewing pleasure! If you’ve been waiting for this awesome post-apocalyptic story to be collected at last, well, it’s finally here! Order it online here or otherwise check out your local anime store or JB Hi Fi. But wait that’s not the only box set we released last month…

THE SAMURAI – COMPLETE SERIES BOX SET

That’s right the complete collection of the 60s classic that includes all 10 seasons and, as stock last, a limited edition special set of Samurai trading cards that are based off the original Scanlen’s set. The Samurai was the first Japanese television show to air on Australian shores and spawned a huge nationwide fanbase during its air. We’re getting another batch of stock in a week’s time, so sit tight!

STREAMING

UN-GO

Un-Go is currently being simulcast on ANN so you know what that means? Yes, that’s right; you get to watch UN-GO at the same time Japan does – legally and free! UN-GO is another in the fine line of noitaminA programming on Japan’s Fuji TV – high-brow anime for fans of a mature demographic. A detective series with a supernatural twist – Detective Shinjurou and his partner Inga are the unlikely duo solving the impossible in a post-war future Tokyo. Whether it involves an assassination or a cursed death, the pair will go out of their way to uncover the truth. And it’s very, VERY cool…

EP01: Murder at the Ball
EP02: Pitiless Song
EP03: Masked Mansion
EP04: House, Unmasked
EP05: The Statue of Illusion

EDIT: Oh, apparently there is a web link for the newsletter, which can be seen at this link HERE.
