Escape the Backrooms players have some new looks to try. Publisher Secret Mode has released the Lost & Found update for the co-op horror game, which is available now with a mix of free and paid cosmetics.
All players get two new free cosmetics, Lost in Transit and Entity 67. A paid Lost & Found Cosmetic Pack is also available for £4.99, $5.99 or €5.99, adding five more: Remodelling Co. Employee, The Actor, Party Crasher, Misprint and Black Knight. A new trailer has been released alongside the update.
Escape the Backrooms sends players into the Backrooms, a series of liminal spaces that range from yellow hallways and echoing pool rooms to unsettling hotels and birthday parties. Playing solo or with up to three friends, players search for exits and head deeper through more than 30 different areas while running and hiding from entities that track their every move. The game uses proximity voice chat, which the entities can also pick up on.
Players also need to manage their sanity by finding exits quickly and eating along the way. Meta-progression encourages return trips to uncover secret levels and unlock new endings, while Nightmare Mode raises the stakes, with a single death resulting in a full restart.
