Season 1 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and Call of Duty: Warzone arrives at 4:00 pm [AEDT] on Friday 6 November 2026, but there is something to play before then. Infected and Possession have arrived today as a Halloween pre-season addition, and Shipment has already been added to Multiplayer ahead of the new season.

Multiplayer will have more than six maps in Season 1. Backstab is a war-torn map with inclement weather; towering rock walls surround Canyon, and Shoot House returns in a reimagined form. More maps follow at Mid-Season, including Ministry, Overflow, and others still under wraps. Kill Block is also getting a new variant, Kill Block: Crash, where the map stays static with Crash always front and centre, and where additional Core Multiplayer modes are available.
On the modes side, Season 1 brings Grind, along with Drop Zone and Gauntlet 1v1 as part of the Wager Match Event. More modes are planned from Mid-Season onwards.
DMZ players are heading to X01, a former Russian facility on the edge of Hajin’s borders that North Korean forces have taken over. Players can search its large cargo bays and vehicle depots, head down to underground labs and production lines, and infiltrate a sealed Deep Vault. Its network of tunnels and shifting hazards means squads will need to plan carefully, bring specialised equipment and work together. Ghost guides players through new DMZ Orders as they push deeper into the facility, though details about the threats inside remain secret for now. The same goes for the new equipment. Extraction also works differently, with X01 closing off extraction points over time and players needing to complete certain steps to get out. DMZ Events, including special Commander Hunts, will run throughout the season.

Call of Duty: Warzone is getting two new maps: Hajin and Zodiac.
Across all modes, the Season 1 Battle Pass adds the Cronen Osprey Assault Rifle and the CSG-35 SMG. Later in the season, the full-auto JAK 12 Shotgun and the ZLR Talonhawk melee axe will also be added, along with new Attachments, including two new Apex Attachments. Events such as the Wager Match Event and Weapon Camo Events will offer rewards including Weapon Attachments, Weapon Blueprints and Operator Skins.
The Battle Pass itself is a 100-tier linear track split between free and premium tiers, featuring Weapon Blueprints, Operator Skins, Calling Cards, Finishing Moves, Emotes and more. The premium Battle Pass guarantees more than 50 rewards. Operator XERO leads this season’s BlackCell content and can be purchased separately or received through the Vault Edition.
Warzone players can also buy the Call of Duty Endowment (C.O.D.E.) Valor Pack in Season 1, which supports veterans.
