Bluepoch has commenced the second phase of the Version 3.4 update for its strategic role-playing game Reverse: 1999. Titled “Spring Unending”, this update progresses the current narrative arc inspired by ancient Chinese martial arts and immortals. It also forms part of the ongoing festivities for the game’s two and a half year anniversary.
The latest phase introduces Cheng Heguang as a new six-star character. Described as an individual with a strong sense of integrity, players can attempt to summon him through the “Soaring Aspirations” banner. Accompanying his release is a dedicated character story named “To Slay a Tiger”, which rewards participants with Clear Drops and various growth materials upon completion. He joins the previously introduced limited character Paper Heron, a Daoist swordswoman travelling with a mule, who remains available via her “Her Heart-Cut Spring” banner.
Several gameplay additions and returning modes are included in this rollout. The Pre-Storm Protocol survival and exploration mode has been updated to feature new mechanics, such as a Message Board and Fruits of the Practice, alongside expanded exploration content. By participating in this updated system, players can obtain the four-star arcanist Reed for free, as well as limited items and growth materials.
Additionally, the Musae’s Arcade Multiplayer Mode continues to offer cooperative and competitive mini-games. Rewards for this mode include a themed garment for Horropedia, a limited portrait, a Crystal Casket, and upgrade materials. For those looking to revisit past content, the Version 2.5 event “Showdown in Chinatown” is scheduled for a limited rerun between 15 May and 25 May.
To mark the ongoing anniversary milestones, Bluepoch is distributing a variety of in-game items. A primary feature is the provision of up to 100 free pulls on the selectable six-star banner “The Snow of Dushuo”, which are distributed as 10 daily summons for players who log in. Participants of the Phase 2 login event will also receive 20 Unilogs. Other promotional distributions include a free garment for Noire, a selectable six-star Artifice, and various discounted rewards.
