Following its official release in March (see my review), Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem has received a new gameplay expansion titled Leon Must Die Forever. This free minigame is available now for players on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The Leon Must Die Forever mode is designed as post-game content that becomes accessible once the main story has been completed. Focusing on Leon S. Kennedy, the mode tasks players with fighting through previously visited environments to reach the final boss under a time limit. Challenges are heightened through the inclusion of five different difficulty ranks and stronger enemy variants.
During combat, players can fill an enhancement gauge to access enhancer abilities specific to this mode. To encourage replayability, the progression of areas and the availability of specific abilities are randomised for every new run.
Alongside the content update, the developers have implemented various bug fixes across all supported platforms. The PC version of the game has also been updated to support DualSense wireless controller features, including motion sensors, haptic feedback, and adaptive triggers.
