Natsume Inc. has announced the retail release of Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos Complete Edition. This updated version of the 2023 farming simulation title is now available for the Nintendo Switch and Sony PlayStation 5 platforms through various retail outlets.
This edition serves as a comprehensive package, containing the original base game alongside all previously released downloadable content. The included expansions consist of the Great Outdoors Pack, the Visitors From Afar Pack, the Tool Upgrade & New Interior Designs Pack, the Animal Avalanche Pack, and the New Crops, Fish, and Recipes Pack.
Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos takes place in Anthos, a region that was once under the protection of the Harvest Goddess and Harvest Sprites. Following a major volcanic eruption years ago, the Goddess used her remaining power to shield the inhabitants, an act that resulted in the various villages becoming isolated from one another. Ten years after these events, the player discovers a message in a bottle containing an SOS and a magical key, leading to a mission to revive the Goddess and reconnect the separated communities.
The bundled DLC introduces several new mechanics and items to the experience. The Great Outdoors Pack adds camping features and a Treasure Hunting Mode to the DocPad, while the Animal Avalanche Pack brings ten additional wild animals to the world, including pandas, unicorns, and sasquatches. For those focused on agricultural production, the New Crops, Fish, and Recipes Pack adds 12 seed types and 15 recipes to the game.
Players looking to improve their efficiency can utilise the Tool Upgrade & New Interior Designs Pack, which allows for an extra level of upgrades for tools like the watering can and pick-axe. Additionally, the Visitors From Afar Pack introduces a new narrative chapter involving the Verne Trading Company, which brings new characters and marriage candidates into the game.
