HoYoverse has confirmed that Genshin Impact Version Luna II, titled Song of the Welkin Moon: Reprise – An Elegy for Faded Moonlight, will launch on 22 October 2025. Headlining this update is not a normal offering, but could be a major boon for the open-world adventure-action game now in its fifth year – Miliastra Wonderland. This is a user generated content (UGI) suite grounded in Genshin Impact which aims to open the door to player made Stages, custom characters and more – alongside a mix of creative and competitive activities. The update also continues the narrative in Nod Krai and introduces Nefer as a new playable character.
Miliastra Wonderland is accessible after completing Act I of the Archon Quest Prologue, The Outlander Who Caught the Wind. It is clear this mode is something for both active players, and something perhaps for newcomers who don’t wish to tackle the breadth of the full gmae. Inside this hub, players can explore a variety of Stage types including sims style management, party games, PvP battles and adventure challenges. Many Stages offer achievements, rankings and leaderboards, encouraging replay while rewarding both solo problem solving and coordinated team play.
Players can customize their Manekin avatar to reflect personal style in both the Wonderland and Teyvat. Hair, facial features, accessories and outfits can be freely mixed and matched, with preset outfit sets available for one click changes. Limited time events within Miliastra will grant rewards such as trial vouchers, outfits and outfit sets.
Creation tools arrive with the Miliastra Sandbox, allowing Craftspeople to design and publish Stages using a library of terrain pieces, item components, logic links and even configurable character skills. HoYoverse will support creators with tutorials, a dedicated forum, curation opportunities for recommended Stages and incentive programs aimed at fostering an active building community.
Back to the core experience, the story content picks up after recent events in Nod Krai. Players will continue pursuing the Rächer of Solnari, Rerir, with Grand Master Varka finally entering the fray. Unexpected allies from the Fatui Harbingers, including The Knave and The Marionette, also become involved. Guided by The Damselette, Nefer provides intelligence that may expose Rerir’s motives, and completing the Archon Quest in Version Luna II grants an additional 560 Primogems.
In terms of playable characters, Nefer joins the roster as a 5 star Dendro catalyst user focused on Lunar Bloom interactions. Her Elemental Skill absorbs Verdant Dew to convert Charged Attacks into stamina free special versions that deal Lunar Bloom damage. When the party gains the Ascendant Gleam state, she can convert on field Dendro Cores into Seeds of Deceit to further enhance these attacks.
Event Wishes in the first half of the version feature Nefer alongside a Furina rerun, with Arlecchino and Zhongli returning in the second half. Seasonal events include Commissions with The Damselette that award exclusive namecards and access to Ascendant Gleam, plus a Sumeru event that offers Primogems and a free invitation for Collei.
