SEGA has lifted the bonnet on Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds with a new gameplay trailer that dives into the kart racer’s customisation toolkit. Players of the upcoming racing game will be able to mix and match more than 40 vehicles, 70 specialised gadgets, and over 100 individual parts and decals, yielding thousands of potential load-outs for different gameplay styles.
SEGA has also confirmed that pre-orders are now live for the Nintendo Switch, with an Upgrade Pack confirmed for players who step up to new hardware later. A native Nintendo Switch 2 edition is planned for early 2026 and will arrive on cartridge with all base content included. Progress and purchased items from earlier Switch versions will carry over through the Upgrade Pack, ensuring a smooth transition for portable racers.
