System Trailer Released for Digimon Story Time Stranger

Bandai Namco Entertainment has released a new system trailer for Digimon Story Time Stranger, offering a comprehensive look at how players will recruit, raise and battle their Digimon. The trailer details core mechanics for obtaining Digimon, managing Digivolution paths and mastering the game’s combat system ahead of its 3 October 2025 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

In Time Stranger, players scan wild Digimon in battle to complete an analysis. Once a Digimon’s data is fully catalogued, it can be created as an ally. Strengthening your roster involves multiple layers of progression:

• Attachment Skills and Equipment boost individual stats and unlock new abilities.
• Attribute and Elemental Resistances influence damage dealt and received, encouraging careful party composition.
• Digivolution and De-Digivolution let Digimon evolve into more powerful forms or revert to earlier stages. Evolution paths depend on each Digimon’s stats and personality traits.
• DigiFarm provides a customizable environment where Digimon train autonomously, further enhancing their capabilities.
• Agent Skills grant passive bonuses or battlefield support as they accumulate through story progression.

The trailer also highlights Cross Arts, a new category of joint abilities that players and their Digimon can execute together. These skills range from heavy-hitting attacks to defensive shields and healing effects, adding a strategic layer to encounters.

Combat success hinges on exploiting attribute advantages and building a team that complements each member’s elemental strengths. According to the trailer, anticipating enemy weaknesses and choosing the right lineup will be crucial to overcoming tougher bosses and navigating late-game challenges.
