Sony Interactive Entertainment Australia has launched its Black Friday sales, offering a range of discounts across hardware, peripherals, software, and digital content. Running for a limited time, these deals provide savings on PlayStation 5 consoles, controllers, PlayStation VR2 systems, and popular game titles, with additional offers available at select Australian retailers.
The newly released PlayStation 5 Fortnite Cobalt Star Bundle is available at a reduced price of $684.95 AUD for the disc edition and $564.95 AUD for the digital edition, saving up to $115.00 AUD on the original retail price. This bundle includes the PS5 console, eight Fortnite in-game cosmetics, and 1,000 V-Bucks. Participating retailers such as Target, BIG W, EB Games, JB Hi-Fi, and Amazon offer further discounted prices on PS5 consoles, with some starting from $519.00 AUD for the digital edition. Additionally, Telstra is offering payment plans for the PlayStation 5, starting at $23.29 AUD per month.
PlayStation VR2 peripherals are also heavily discounted, with the standalone headset available for $579.95 AUD, representing a saving of $300.00 AUD off the regular price of $879.95 AUD. The PlayStation VR2 bundle, which includes Horizon: Call of the Mountain, is available for the same price, marking a saving of $380.00 AUD. DualSense wireless controllers are priced at $99.95 AUD, with a discount of up to $25.00 AUD depending on the colour variation, while other peripherals such as the DualSense Edge controller and Pulse Elite Wireless Headset are also reduced by up to $30.00 AUD.
Game titles are included in the sale, with highlights such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 now available for AUD$79.95, down from AUD$124.95, and Rise of the Ronin also discounted to AUD$79.95. Other titles such as Helldivers 2 are priced at AUD$49.95, while older releases like The Last of Us Part II Remastered are available for AUD$64.95. For those seeking digital deals, and those confined to the digital-exclusive nature of the PlayStation 5 (Digital) and PlayStation 5 Pro – the PlayStation Store offers discounts on PS5 and PS4 games, including Star Wars Outlaws, Hogwarts Legacy, and EA Sports FC 25, with discounts running until 2 December 2024.
PlayStation Plus memberships are also on sale, with new subscribers able to save up to 30% on a 12-month plan. Existing members upgrading to Extra or Deluxe plans can save up to 30% depending on their tier. These upgrades provide access to additional benefits, including a larger game library through the Game Catalog and Classics Catalog.
The Black Friday sales are available until various dates, with most concluding in Early December 2024.
