Tower of Fantasy’s 3.4 Update “Butterfly in the Abyss” Brings New Challenges and Adventures Later This Month

Level Infinite and Hotta Studio have unveiled details about the next major update for their free-to-play open-world MMORPG, Tower of Fantasy. Titled “Butterfly in the Abyss”, this 3.4 update, launching on November 21 for PC and mobile devices, will deliver players even more content, challenges and adventures to undertake in its ever-growing world. Some features of this update can be found below:

Exploring the Depths of Marshville

In this latest update, players will venture into the unexplored depths of Marshville. This region, characterized by howling winds and bustling snow, introduces two formidable new bosses and a series of daunting challenges. The journey through Marshville is set to be a perilous one, with players uncovering the secrets of past generations’ battles against the Darkness.

New Bosses

The Forbidden County, a new area in Marshville, is home to Nin Yin, a formidable new boss. As the former chief of the Alabaster Guards, Nin Yin wields the power of three separate Darkness Crystamaxes, presenting a significant threat to players. Another new adversary, Merbelle, a half-human, half-fish Darkness entity, lurks in the icy lakes of Hendeca County. Alongside these new bosses, players will also face challenges from bat-like creatures such as Hidewing and Rockwing.

New Gameplay and Main Story Additions

The 3.4 update introduces the Field of Execution, a new gameplay element where players must collaborate to gather resources and build defenses against the Darkness. A key challenge in this mode is defeating the boss Xingtian, with abundant rewards awaiting successful players.

Additionally, “Frost-Covered Marshville Part 2”, a new main story chapter, will be unlocked. This narrative arc follows Ji Yu as she investigates the Forbidden County to unravel the mysteries of the Hendeca County Calamity and the Darkness beneath the snow of the Forbidden County. Beneath the abyss, the mystery is unravelled.
