Bluepoch Games’ new strategic RPG, Reverse 1999, has received its first major post-launch update in the form of Version 1.1: The Theft of the Rimet Cup. This update is now available for versions of the game on the iOS App Store, Android Google Play Store and the PC, and will see players given access to new gacha banners, new features and more. Most importantly however, will be the chance in the latter half of this update, to add the doggo Pickles to your party – should lady luck shine upon you. Key features of this update include:
New Characters and Features
The update brings three new characters to the Reverse: 1999 universe: the Great Thief Melania, the degenerate hippy Diggers, and the philosophically inclined Border Collie, Pickles. Accompanying these characters are new events, garments, a limited-time seasonal challenge, and more, adding depth and variety to the gameplay.
Exploring New Stories and Unlocking Rewards
The “The Theft of the Rimet Cup” update also brings character derivative events for Melania and Pickles, allowing players to delve deeper into the backstories of these new characters. These events not only expand the game’s narrative but also provide players with the opportunity to unlock rewards for their engagement and progress.
Additionally, with a focus on the newly introduced characters, players can now dive into a limited-time heist narrative following Melania’s attempt at stealing the titular Rimet Cup. While there is a heavy focus on Melania as part of this story quest, Pickles, the Border Collie, and Diggers, the hippie artist will also weave their way into the narrative.
New Garment Series and Seasonal Challenge
Version 1.1 introduces the “Carnival On The Pitch” garment series, offering new wardrobe options for characters like Regulus, APPLe, and Centurion.
In addition to the new characters and garments, the update unveils the Time-Limited Seasonal Challenge “UTTU Flash Gathering: Trophy of the Past Glory.” This new gameplay mode encourages players to collect FAME Cards and use them strategically to overcome reading challenges.
