Spike Chunsoft, Inc. has announced a delay in the delivery of the Mysteriful Limited Edition of Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE for Nintendo Switch. The publisher has confirmed that the delay is only for orders fulfilled in the North American region, and that they now expect orders to be fulfilled by 14 July 2023 – two weeks following the game’s official launch.
The Standard Edition and digital versions of Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE are not impacted by this delay and remain on track to be available on the previously scheduled release date of 30 June 2023.
The cause of the delay for the Mysteriful Limited Edition is attributed to an unexpected hurdle during the customs clearance process of the Spirited 6.5” Shinigami plush (pictured to the left), which is included in this edition. Spike Chunsoft, Inc. has clarified that the issue with customs has been resolved, and that their team is “continuing to work closely with its partners to expedite the release of the Mysteriful Limited Edition”.
