Cuisineer, an action roguelite game with a focus on culinary adventures, is set to participate in the Steam Next Fest taking place from 19 June 2023 until 26 June 2023. During this event, interested players will be able to play brand-new demo of the game.
In Cuisineer, players take on the role of Pom, a young adventurer-turned-restaurateur, who must explore a variety of environments to gather ingredients for cooking delectable meals. These environments include marshy swamplands and icy caves among others. Pom’s explorations are set across four diverse biomes, each offering distinct challenges and rewards. Procedural generation is integrated into the game to create fresh layouts, enemy camps, and native ingredients for each of the biomes.
The story unfolds as Pom comes back to her hometown, Paell, intending to visit her parents. However, she discovers that their restaurant has been shut down and is drowning in debt. Determined to revive the family business, Pom embarks on daring adventures outside Paell to gather ingredients. The game sets out to feature engaging combat with Pom utilizing cooking utensils to battle against various creatures including giant chickens, artillery shrimps, and fire-breathing peppers. Along the way, she indulges in boba tea while collecting ingredients to whip up culinary delights.
The game is developed by BattleBrew Productions and co-published globally on Windows PC through Steam by Marvelous Europe and XSEED Games. Cuisineer is slated for release in the summer of 2023.
