Kojima Productions has announced that a documentary around their founder and long-time famed game creator Hideo Kojima, titled Hideo Kojima – Connecting Worlds, will have its world premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.
Hideo Kojima – Connecting Worlds seeks to provide a look into the creative mind of Kojima, whose previous works have included the Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid franchises, and in recent years, the Death Stranding franchise. The film boasts appearances from a host of artists and creators including Guillermo del Toro, Nicholas Winding Refn, Grimes, George Miller, Norman Reedus, Woodkid, Chvrches, and others. Viewers will gain a rare insight into Kojima’s early life and his creative process, particularly around the formation of his independent studio and the creation of Death Stranding.
The documentary is set to premiere on Saturday 17 June 2023, at 5pm EST, at The Indeed Theatre at Spring Studios. Tickets for the premiere can be purchased through the official Tribeca Film Festival website. Additionally, Hideo Kojima himself will be present at the premiere, offering details about the documentary and engaging in a Q&A session with attendees.
