[E3 2016] Impulse Gear’s First Game to Be PlayStation VR Title ‘Farpoint’

Kicking off their first project by diving straight into virtual reality, Impulse Gear have announced they are working on Farpoint, to be developed exclusively for the PlayStation VR.

Farpoint sets out to be an unnerving space adventure set on a hostile alien world. You begin the game by crashing on the planet’s surface, and must now explore and fight your way against hostile foes in order to both survive and discover what happened to the rest of your crew.

Impulse Gear have also collaborated with Sony Interactive Entertainment in order to develop a new PlayStation Move controller extension known as the PS VR Aim Controller. While time will tell just how accurate this device is, they claim that the PS VR Aim Controller offers “the most realistic and precise way” to control in Farpoint, and offers “direct 1 to 1 tracking” so you “aim in Farpoint just as you would in real life”.

Expect to hear more about Farpoint and the PS VR Aim Controller in the coming months, leading to its currently unknown release date on the PlayStation VR.
