Hakuoki SSL ~Sweet School Life~ to Receive First English Release on Nintendo Switch in Late 2025

Eastasiasoft has announced that Hakuoki SSL ~Sweet School Life~ will be released for Nintendo Switch in late 2025, marking the first time the game will be available with English language support. The announcement was made as part of the publisher’s Spring 2025 Showcase presentation. Pre-orders for physical editions of the game will open tomorrow through Playasia, the official retail partner for the release.

A spin-off from the main Hakuoki series, Hakuoki SSL ~Sweet School Life~ reimagines the cast of Shinsengumi warriors in a modern-day high school setting. The story follows Chizuru Yukimura as she navigates life and romance in a school filled with familiar faces, blending light-hearted storytelling with the visual novel format that fans of the series have come to expect.

Originally released in Japan, EastAsiaSoft claims that Hakuoki SSL ~Sweet School Life~ has been a long-requested localisation among otome fans.
