MangaGamer has announced that pre-orders are now available for CLOCKUP’s upcoming psychological horror visual novel, DEAD DAYS. The VN is set to launch on 31 October 2024, just in time for Halloween. Those who pre-order will receive a 15% discount on the standard price of $44.95.
DEAD DAYS tells the unsettling story of four strangers—Teru, Aira, Manami, and Soukichi—who are mysteriously revived after their deaths. Though they’ve been given a second chance at life, this opportunity comes with a sinister cost: they must hunt down and kill specters to maintain the energy that sustains their lives.
As these characters attempt to enjoy their new existence, they grapple with the constant fear that their life force may run out before they can recharge. Adding to their anxiety is their dispassionate employer, who treats them as mere tools and is indifferent to the strange side effects of their new bodies, including heightened libido triggered by stress.
As many of MangaGamer’s other visual novel localisations and releases, DEAD DAYS is a hardcore visual novel and will not be appropriate for those underage, nor those who don’t enjoy such content. There are no announced plans to offer a slightly censored Steam release, as they have done with a few titles in the past.
