MangaGamer Holds Higurashi: When They Cry Sound Novel Sale Ahead of Anime Reboot Airing

This month, a rebooted anime series adapting the original works of 07th Expansion’s renown series of sound novels Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (Localised as Higurashi: When They Cry) will commence airing in Japan and through select video-on-demand streaming platforms. You will be able to watch this season through FunimationNow (North America) and AnimeLab (Australia and New Zealand). If you are brand new to the murder-mystery events taking place in the small rural town of Hinamizawa and wish to read ahead, now is a more affordable time to do so.

From now until 15 October 2020, MangaGamer will be offering a 50% discount on the sound novel’s first four arcs (Known as the “Question” arcs) via their website. This brings the price down to $9.97 USD from $19.95 USD. The discount is on the newer ‘Hou’ version of the sound novel, which features English/Japanese language support, new character artwork and all the original music.
