To be available through JB Hi-fi stores and select independent gaming retailers beginning Friday August 21 2015, video game publisher VR Distribution have confirmed they are bringing the visual novel Steins;Gate to the Australian market. Similar to the European and North American console launches of Steins;Gate, this title will be available on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita gaming platforms.
Having had the opportunity to make my way through its European PS3 edition, I happily gave this visual novel a strong ‘A’ grade in my August 2015 review of it. The title received straight A’s for all four major visual novel grading categories: Storyline / Character Development, Design, Music / Voice Acting and Personal Opinion. You can read my review HERE.
Steins;Gate follow a group of young teenage/university-student scientists who discover the ability to alter the past by sending text messages through a modified microwave. These experiments ultimately spiral out of control as they become involved in a conspiracy surrounding SERN, and John Titor, a mysterious internet forum poster claiming to come from a distopian future.
