After announcing the immersion of the Tangled universe in Kingdom Hearts III during E3 2015, Square Enix and Disney Interactive have announced another non-classic Disney title for inclusion in the upcoming and long-awaited JRPG. Although we have yet to see a proper in-game look at the film’s world and characters, it has been confirmed that Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Big Hero 6 will be making an appearance.
This addition will see Sora and his friends travel to the urban setting of San Fransokyo – which is home to Baymax, Hiro Hamada and his friends. It doesn’t seem like they will be simply replicating events from the film, with a media release stating that it will purportedly be “continuing the events of the animated film”.
With the announcement being made by Big Hero 6 producer Roy Conli, you can watch the Walt Disney Animation Studios collaboration announcement in the above video.
For release at a currently unspecified date, Kingdom Hearts III is currently in development for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One video game platforms.
