Via a recent post made via the visual novel’s official DevBlog, Alienworks announced that they are partnering up with Sekai Project for their upcoming project “The Human Reignition Project”. While Alienworks will be serving as developer, Sekai Project will handle promotion and distribution of the visual novel, including a planned release via the Steam digital download platform.
In addition, Alienworks is the very first development group to directly receive funding from Sekai Project, as part of a new initiative they are implementing to support small-time creators. This is a small snippet of what Raithfyre had to say about development funding up until now:
For the past couple of years, we’ve been paying everything out of our own pockets. While we’d do it again in a heartbeat, funding such a project is a fairly significant strain, considering most of us are students or making minimum-wage. Or both.
