Blizzard Entertainment has released Curse of Ula’tek, the first major content update for World of Warcraft: Midnight, opening the previously hidden Coiled Isle to players.
The 12.1 update takes players to the mysterious island located off the coast of Zul’Aman, where Azeroth’s champions can explore new areas, venture into venomous caverns and uncover secrets connected to the Amani people. Available immediately with the update is The Tidebound Grotto Lair at World Difficulty, alongside the new Altar of Fangs dungeon. Heroic and Mythic 0 difficulties are also now available for Midnight dungeons. Mythic 0 currently operates on a weekly reset and rewards item level 292 gear.
The refreshed dungeon rotation includes Altar of Fangs, Murder Row, Den of Nalorakk, The Blinding Vale and Voidscar Arena. Returning dungeons have also been added to the rotation, including Kings’ Rest and Temple of Sethraliss from Battle for Azeroth, along with Ruby Life Pools from Dragonflight.
Prey Season 2 is now accessible in Normal and Hard modes, while Delves Season 2 has opened across all tiers with Nemesis ? Difficulty available, but without Bountiful Delves. Training Grounds: Arenas is also live, and players can begin earning credit towards Season 2 Great Vault rewards.
Additional Season 2 content will arrive from 19 August 2026 AEST. The Venomous Abyss raid will open at that time across Normal, Heroic and Mythic difficulties, alongside the first Raid Finder wing. The Tidebound Grotto will also expand to Normal, Heroic and Mythic flexible-scaling difficulties. Mythic+ Season 2 and PvP Season 2 will begin on the same date, while Mythic 0 will move to a daily reset and continue dropping item level 292 gear. Delves Season 2 will expand with Nemesis ?? Difficulty, Bountiful Delves and Keys. Prey Season 2 will similarly add Nightmare Mode and Curse of the Isle, while Season 2 gear earned through the Great Vault will become available.
