Sucker Punch Productions and Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition will launch for PlayStation 5 on 2 October 2026 alongside two new additions to the game, Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted.
Priced at $124.95 AUD, the Complete Edition bundles the main Ghost of Yōtei game with the Ghost of Yōtei Legends online co-op mode, the new Echoes of Sekigahara narrative expansion, the Most Wanted single-player mode, all in-game content previously included with the Digital Deluxe Edition, and the Charm of Hokkyokusei.
Players purchasing the Complete Edition will be able to begin playing the base game and Legends immediately, while Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted will become available from 2 October.
The largest of the new additions is Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara, a narrative expansion that moves between the present day and flashbacks exploring Atsu’s time on the mainland. The story introduces Nagato, a figure connected to Atsu’s past, while opening access to a previously unseen valley once inhabited by The Snake and his followers, known as the Vipers. Alongside the new storyline and location, the expansion will add new enemies, heavy weapons, armour sets, dyes and other content.
Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted takes a different approach, introducing a single-player combat survival mode built around repeated bounty runs. Players accept bounties before entering a run, defeating enemies to earn perks and unlock additional playable characters. Each available character has their own combat speciality. Atsu fights using dual katana, Oyuki uses the kusarigama, while newcomer Nagato is equipped with a yari.
The Complete Edition release will also expand the wider game with additional Watanabe Mode tracks, new Photo Mode stamps, further New Game+ cosmetics, and new Trophies tied to Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted.
Existing Ghost of Yōtei owners will not need to purchase the full Complete Edition to access the new content. The Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition Upgrade will be available for $22.95 AUD and includes access to Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted. Players who pre-purchase the upgrade by 30 September will also receive an early unlock of the Sakai Armor on 2 October AEST, inspired by Jin’s family armour from Ghost of Tsushima.
A free update is also planned for all Ghost of Yōtei owners on 2 October AEST. The patch will introduce the Beauty of Yōtei mode, which presents a screensaver-like view of Ezo’s environments, as well as several quality-of-life and accessibility improvements. Among those changes will be the option to retain the visual appearance of one armour set while using the statistics of another, along with a new high contrast accessibility setting.
