Garena has launched the first anniversary celebrations for HAIKYU!! FLY HIGH, introducing a new game mode, limited cosmetics, recruitment rewards and two additional SP characters.
Until 5 August, players can collect anniversary rewards by logging into HAIKYU!! FLY HIGH each day. These include limited Portrait Frames and Chat Frames that will only be available during the event. Two character backgrounds can also be unlocked during the campaign. One features Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama, while the other depicts Tooru Oikawa and Hajime Iwaizumi. Additional daily login rewards include SP Recruit Tickets, UR Recruit Tickets and UR Player Boost Cards, providing players with resources to recruit new characters and strengthen their existing roster.
The anniversary’s main event, Make UR Wish, tasks players with completing designated challenges for a chance to select a UR rarity player of their choice. This gives participants an opportunity to add a preferred spiker, libero, setter or other eligible player to their team.
A separate Gym Cleanup event will offer SP Hitoshi Ginjima as a free reward. Players can complete daily tasks to progressively unlock the Inarizaki High School wing spiker, who is characterised by his attacking play and persistent approach on the court.
HAIKYU!! FLY HIGH is also adding a new game mode titled Showdown! Midnight Treasure Hunt! Set inside the camp dormitory, the mode requires players to search for items, compete against opponents and complete their exploration before the available time expires.
Two limited SP characters from Kamomedai High School will also join the roster as part of the anniversary update. SP Korai Hoshiumi (Winter Sports), a wing spiker known as “The Next Little Giant”, is designed around his jumping ability and attacking power. He will be joined by SP Sachiro Hirugami (Winter Sports), a middle blocker whose abilities focus on read blocking, defence and tactical play.
