Bandai Namco Entertainment has shared new details on Bob, the second playable character coming to TEKKEN 8 Season 3. The character was revealed during EVO 2026 in Las Vegas.
Bob will be accessible to Season Pass 3 holders from Thursday 20 August, with a release for all players following on Tuesday 25 August. He joins Kunimitsu, who has already been released, alongside Roger Jr. and Yujiro Hanma, who are still to come, as part of the Season Pass 3 line-up. Described as the “Onigiri Saviour” Bob is positioned as a character built around speed, power and a distinctive martial arts style.
His return follows a recovery from an assault by Bryan, which took place while he was travelling to The King of Iron Fist Tournament 7. However, dissatisfaction with hospital meals during that recovery period prompted Bob to devise his own burger recipes, which went on to form the basis of a successful fast-food chain – before later launching a second venture, “Bob’s Onigiri”. The character’s story shifts when he encounters Kazuya Mishima and his ambitions of world domination. Bob uses his food businesses to assist people during times of crisis, which is how he comes to be known as the “Onigiri Saviour.” Motivated by a sense of justice, and by what the game frames as his self-proclaimed “perfect body,” he sets out to oppose Kazuya.
Additionally, Bandai Namco Entertainment has also announced a new animated series titled TEKKEN! CARTOON which is set to begin airing on 10 July 2026. The short-format series will feature characters including Paul, Yoshimitsu, Kazuya, Alisa and Kuma, presented in a stylised cartoon format. Its first season is made up of episodes running under a minute each.
