Housemarque has rolled out a Photo Mode addition to SAROS, with the new feature arriving for the PlayStation 5 title.
The tool set allows players to halt gameplay and frame their own shots within the game, drawing on a selection of camera, lens, lighting, colour, and framing options. The feature is intended to give players greater say over how they document and distribute moments from the game, ranging from combat sequences and environmental backdrops to smaller character beats.
Among the options included in Photo Mode are free camera controls for positioning, framing, and angle adjustments, along with lens and depth-of-field settings aimed at producing cinematic compositions. Players also have access to image adjustment tools covering exposure, contrast, saturation, and similar settings.
The update further adds filters, frames, and visual effects for personalisation, as well as lighting controls intended to shape mood, focus, and atmosphere. Players can additionally hide the player character and on-screen UI elements to isolate specific parts of a shot. Screenshot capture and sharing are handled through the PS5’s existing functionality.
Tl;dr: SAROS now has an officially supported photo mode!
