Devolver Digital has announced Pikuniku 2, a new three dimensional sequel to the colourful adventure game Pikuniku, with original creators Arnaud and Remi returning for the follow up. Planned for release on PC and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027, Pikuniku 2 once again follows Piku and his friends as they head out into a strange and playful world. This time, the adventure begins with an escaped sandwich and a boat wreck, leaving Piku separated from his friends across an archipelago.
While the goal is to find everyone and make it home, the sequel seeks to retain the original game’s focus on odd encounters, light puzzle solving, and gently absurd humour. Along the way, Piku will meet unusual characters and hear stories involving giant fruit, robot frogs, and an all powerful potato.
Players will use Piku’s various abilities to solve increasingly strange puzzles, with the game aiming to keep its challenges playful rather than overly demanding. The sequel also marks a shift into full 3D, expanding the game’s colourful visual style and giving players new ways to move through its environments, explore its archipelago, and uncover its many peculiar situations.
